The NockWorks Story
Nice to meet you, I’m Simon, founder and head engineer at NockWorks Innovations. NockWorks was born out of a passion for archery and a need for equipment that fit with my particular shooting style. Having shot recurve and compound for the last few years I have struggled to find accessories that fit my needs.
One evening, having a conversation on the waiting line during a club shoot, I was expressing my frustrations to a fellow archer. It was then when they turned to me and said “if you can’t find what you want, make it” and at that moment the seed for NockWorks was planted.
Over the following months I made a few designs, prototyped and tested new stabiliser rods, side mounts and bow stands before settling on a direction that was to become the NW-NR1 Carbon Stabiliser system. Along side this came the NW-QD1A Quick connect side mounts. Initially, these designs were for my own use, but as I shot with them other archers started enquiring as to where they came from and if they could try them. Then, before I realised it was happening NockWorks was born.

Crafted with blended traditional and modern methods
I’m Simon, founder and head engineer at NockWorks Innovations. With over 17 years in precision engineering, my journey began in 2007 as a general hand in a stainless steel fabrication shop.
A year later, I opened my own workshop, producing components for the marine, medical, and nuclear industries.
In 2010, I partnered with a hydraulic engineering firm before moving into medical and bioscience engineering, where I spent six years honing my skills and sharpening my eye for precision and quality.
When the pandemic struck, I stepped away from the workshop to serve with the ambulance service, doing my part where my County needed it most. Even then, engineering never left me – I continued designing tools to support frontline crews.
Now, in 2025, I’ve returned to engineering with a new focus: bringing precision craftsmanship to archery. At NockWorks, every stabiliser, sight, and accessory is proudly made in Cornwall, blending traditional hand-finishing with modern CNC machining. My goal is simple – to create equipment that combines innovation, reliability, and the timeless spirit of archery.

The answer to this one is possibly, it very much depends on the change and what item of equipment you want modified. Can you apply custom finishes and different colours?
Sometimes, depending on the item we may be able to source a different dye or apply a different finish. If it is a colour we do not hold in stock there would be an additional charge to order in additional metal dye.
